The 36th European Traditional Karate Federation (ETKF) Traditional Karate Championships were held in Belgrade, Serbia, May 25 – 28, 2023. The Championships were very successful with 24 countries representing over 900 athletes in attendance.

ETKF is the Regional Organization Member of the International Traditional Karate Federation formed and registered with the California Secretary of State in the United States in 1995. In 1994, the Judicial Commission of the International Olympic Committee acknowledged ITKF as the world governing body for Traditional Karate. As such, its purpose is to ensure the distinction and practice of Traditional Karate development and competition throughout the world – pursuing its purpose of positive human development through the study of the martial art of Traditional Karate-do
