First published in 1959, “The Art of Empty Hand Fighting”, by Sensei Hidetaka Nishiyama (Translation by Richard Brown) was and still is the most authoritative manual on Traditional Karate.  In his foreword, Sensei Nishiyama expresses his wish that the book will adequately introduce the reader to true karate.  Filled with illustrative photographs, this book is a must read for the avid karate practitioner.

It is the first complete and authoritative book to give a systematic overview of this fascinating martial art.
